Taylor
Beck
PLANNER
Taylor Beck is a Loyola University Chicago alumna with a BA in Theatre and BBA in Business Management. While getting her degrees, Taylor held a variety of leadership roles that focused on her passion for event planning and coordinating including her work as a Conference Coordinator for Loyola’s Water Tower campus, planning anything from corporate events to wedding receptions.
She currently serves as the Program Manager for The National Association for Urban Debate Leagues and is able to get her much needed face-time with people as a bartender (Taylor is a proud ENTJ). Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Taylor currently lives in Logan Square with her best friend and quarantine kitty, Naya.
Amanda “Mimi” Ramirez is a born-and-raised Chicagoan from the southwest side of the city. Mimi received an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she was a 4-year student athlete. She later earned her Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
Mimi’s event experience started in sports where she focused on recruiting, planning, and executing high-profile sporting events to some of Chicago’s most iconic venues. In this experience, Mimi discovered her passion for playing a behind-the-scenes role in delivering experiences and life long memories for clients and attendees. Her attention to detail, ability to remain organized and flexible in changing circumstances, and ease in communicating and connecting with others has made event planning a natural and fulfilling fit.
Mimi lives in the Western suburbs with her husband, Alex, and their dog, Denny.

Vanessa
Herkert
COORDINATOR
Vanessa Herkert is currently a full-time graduate student in DePaul University’s Masters of Entry to the Nursing Profession program. While her long-term goal is to become a trauma nurse, she holds personal and professional experience in event planning, both the logistical and creative side, bringing these skills to Amanda Paige Events.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Public relations from Loyola University of Chicago, Vanessa has aided in the planning, execution, and day of coordination of multiple non-profit events locally and nationally, for organizations like The American Cancer Society and The Breasties. In her personal life, Vanessa is the go-to friend and family member for planning birthdays, bachelorette parties, and organizing “swag bags” for events big and small. As an added bonus, she is an expert at balloon arches and is ordained by the Universal Life Church, and can officiate weddings. Vanessa brings her attention to detail, passion, creativity, and love for weddings and all celebrations to ensure your day is as special and unique as you!
Annie Mathews is originally from Charlotte, NC. She moved to Nashville for college and graduated last year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Belmont University in Nashville. She is excited to expand her knowledge of live experiences beyond Theatre and into event planning. She currently lives in Andersonville with her two best friends and her beloved cat, Yuko. In her free time, she enjoys writing, sewing, and cooking.
